Happy Lent

Ashes today.   Quiet music, no drums, minimal piano accompaniment.  This is how it will be at Mass for the next 40 Days.  The abrupt change in music style is kind of like a forced penance for me.  That’s the point though, right?  We take away what we love and live simply and humbly for 40 short days.   We pray.  We give.  We give up.  We change.  In the end we love more ~ at least that’s my hope.

Happy Lent dear brothers and sisters.  Let’s make it a good one.

In hope,
